Justin's Journey: From Small-Town Talent to World-Class Dancer
At just 12 years old, Justin from Omagh is already making waves in the hip hop world — and his journey with Urban Motion is nothing short of inspiring.
When Justin first stepped into an Urban Motion class back in 2021, no one could have predicted just how far he’d go in such a short space of time. From the beginning, it was clear that he had something special — a mix of natural rhythm, fierce determination, and an attitude far beyond his years. He listened intently, trained relentlessly, and soaked up every opportunity to improve.
“I just love the energy of dancing,” Justin says.
“When I’m in class or on stage, I feel like I can be myself — nothing else matters.”
Fast forward to today, and Justin isn’t just a regular student — he’s a rising star. He has become a proud member of both the Urban Motion Champion Training Program and the Urban Motion Academy, our 1:1 mentoring program that provides elite support to our most committed young dancers. With daily practice, tailored coaching, and a hunger to grow, Justin’s progression has been rapid and remarkable.
In just a few years, he has:
Won the All Ireland Hip Hop Championships, showcasing his skills on a national stage
Claimed multiple battle victories, proving himself in high-pressure, head-to-head dance-offs
Qualified to represent both Ireland and Hungary at the World Hip Hop Championships — a rare and outstanding achievement for someone his age
But what sets Justin apart isn’t just his talent — it’s his attitude.
Despite the medals and accolades, Justin remains grounded and generous with his time. He’s often found helping at events, cheering on younger students, or simply staying behind after class to tidy up or keep practising.
“Urban Motion has helped me believe in myself,” Justin says.
“Before I started, I didn’t think I could do half the stuff I can do now. Jamie always pushes me to be better — not just as a dancer, but as a person too.”
His confidence has grown alongside his technique, and today, Justin is a leader in the Urban Motion community — not just because of what he’s achieved, but because of how he carries himself. He works hard, supports others, and shows up with passion in every session.
Justin’s journey is a powerful example of what can happen when talent meets the right environment. At 12 years old, he’s already danced his way into the spotlight — and we have no doubt that this is just the beginning.
